Melvin Estrada has held important public positions such as Director of the Legal Tax Department and Former Deputy Director of the Tax Administration in Nicaragua (DGI), Director of Registration and Control of Associations of the Ministry of Government (MIGOB).

ARTICLES, PUBLICATIONS & CONFERENCES: Contributor on the drafting of important laws enacted and published in Nicaragua, such as the Citizen Participation Law, which included a series of seminars for its execution; Expansion of the Tax Payer Base Law and Regulation, Tax Equity Law and its Regulations and the Tax Code of the Republic of Nicaragua.
EDUCATION: Postgrade on Tax Integration and Labor in Central America, Nicaragua, 2010. Studies on Banking Law, Casino, Labor and Tax Integration in Central America, as well as numerous courses and seminars on Tax Audits of Casinos, Money Laundering Prevention and NGOs. Graduated from Universidad Centroamericana (UCA), 1998. Admitted to practice as Attorney and Notary Public since 2000.
